What was the "asiento"? What was its relationship to the exploitation of the Indies?

I think that he could be Hernán Cortés but I'm not safe.

The name of the conquistador was Juan Ponce de León, he called it "La Florida" that means Flowery Land.
QUESTION 3:
Francisco de Orellana named it, the name comes from the expedition that Orellana did, because they were attacked by indigenous who were similar to the "amazonas" from the Greek mythology.
QUESTION 4:
The "asiento" was the permission given by the Spanish government to sell slaves from Africa to the Spanish colonies, this permission was done with Great Britain. So the relationship is the repopulation of the colonies.
