Thursday, 9 of February.

Today in Social Sciences Cristina has been with us. Ángel has started has give us the map about Colonial Empires in 1910.

Then Cristina has asked some things to Paqui about the map and meanwhile we have been doing the exercises 8, 9 and 10 and we have to read the pages 35-36 about the big Colonial Empires, the Berlin conference and the consequences of colonialism.

In the last decades of the 19th century the big European powers started conquering territories. In 1885 an international conference sponsored by Otto Von Bismarck was celebrated in Berlin to establish some rules, organize colonization and avoid problems between the European countries.

At the end of the class we have started to talk about the PAEG and the language school. Some of the classmates doesn't know who want to study and maybe we go to talk with some teacher to guide us.

I'm sorry for the delay, but I couldn't write before.

Kisses.

Hello Carmen,

Remember that you have to include the source of the picture you´ve used and the map should be in English, not in French. If you read the comments to Yolanda Abad´s post, you will ind some links to maps of the colonial empires in English.

And remember also that you have to correct the mistakes your clasmates find. And study for the exam. Bye.

Hello!
Other mistakes I have seen are that you have written: we have TO READ the pages... But I think that you want to say: we have had to read... And at the end you have written: some of the classmates DOESN'T know... I think is: don't know.
See you soon!
