 Hello everybody!

Today, in the class of Social Sciences we have done several things. First, Paqui has explained how to comment on the journals and she has reminded the people who haven´t accepted the invitation for the blog.
After this, Paqui has remembered the things learned yesterday and then, we have started correcting the last part of the schueme of the Renaissance art meanwhile Paqui has added others important details:

Sculptures of some artists:

·Donatello: Il Zuccone, Equestrian Statue of Gatamelatta.

·Michelangelo Buonarrotti: David ( his most famous sculpture of 5.17 meters long and 5.5 tonne which represents David before his confrontement with Goliath), Pietà ( which had several conflicts because the Virgin looks younger than Jesus) Tomb of Medici and Moses.El original David de Miguel Angel

When we have seen that Moses had horns, Paqui has told an anecdote: the translator of the Bible from Hebrew to Latin, Saint Jerome, made a mistake in the paragraph that tells the moment when Moses came back from Mount Sinai. The mistake that he made was in the word Karan, which has two meanings in Hebrew; 'brightness' and 'horn'. This part suggests that Moses' head was surrounded by some kind of halo, and Jerome wrote 'horns' instead of 'halo'; and this is why Moses is represented with horns.

PAINTING:
-Features: the main subjects were religious and mythological, the use of perspective and drawings were more important than colours.

That's a great journal Guillermo. Nice work, but you should added more information about the artists. For example that Leonardo Da Vinci was Homosexual or Rafael have copied his work from his master etc

A very good journal Guillermo, you can also put on the glossary the word "Paragliding" (Parapente) that Paqui has writen on the blackboard.
See you.

Hello classmates!
I think that the journal is very complete and Guillermo has explained all the contents of the class very well. Elena, I agree with you about that Guillermo can also put on the glossary the word "Paragliding" (Parapente) and I think Guillermo, that you can also put the image of the copy of the "La Gioconda" which stay in the Prado Museum, Madrid. The rest of the journal is very well and my congratulations for the journal Guillermo!
See you the next day!

Hello,

These are my corrections to what Gulliermo wrote:

-... she has reminded the people who haven´t accepted the invitation for the blog.

- and then, we have started correcting the last part of the schueme...Meanwhile/ At the same time Paqui has added other(s) important
details

- ...and 5.5 tons ...David before his confrontment with Goliath

-...when Moses came back

- suggests

- Virgin of the Rocks

- Venetian school

- Calf in capital letters

- we have gone to the breaktime.

Remember to use the present perfect.

I think you could have added more information about the works of art we studied. For example, I compared Donatello's equestrian statue with the one of Emperor Marcus Aurelius' statue.

I also taked a lot about Leonardo Da Vinci. And we didn't see Michelangelo's and Titian paintings.

And these are the mistakes the students have made in their comments:

-JESÚS: I have enjoyed it

- CARLOS: you should have added. Rafael copied one of his works

- MARIBEL: the copy of the ")La) Gioconda" which (stay) is exhibited in the Prado Museum.

That's all. See you!
