First Day of High School!

Hello everybody!

First , welcome to the new school year. Today in the class of Social Sciences, Paqui has given us the books and she has explained us the assessment criteria:

-50% of the mark will correspond to the marks of the exams.
-50% of the mark will correspond to the attitude of the student, the notebook, the participation in class and on the blog...

Then, she has told us how we'll have to organize our notebook. It will include theory, exercices and vocabulary. The notebook has to be clean and organized.

Paqui has explained us that this year there is a change: a diferent person will write the journal each day in the blog and the rest of the class has to comment on it.
Our class this year is really amazing. Paqui and Carmen Lázaro have painted a part of the walls with the different periods of history:
-Prehistory: Paleolithic, Neolithic and Metal Age.
-History: Ancient Era, Middle Ages, Modern Era and Contemporary Age.

Finally, Dani Carmona has brought his camera and Paqui has taken a photograph of all our class.

Bye!

Hello María,

Just two comments on the style:

- The picture you've chosen is too similar to the one I have included on the previous post.

- The source of the picture is too long. When you choose a picture on Google Images, you have to go to the page where the picture is and then copy the link, because if you copy the link before, you're not copying the real one, but the one of Google Images.

Pay attention to your classmates' comments. I´ll check the remaining mistakes tomorrow.

Bye!

One thing! I have just found two little mistakes.
In the eight line she wrote "his year" and it's this year and in the tenth line she wrote "amagazing" and it's amazing.
The rest is perfect, a good work.
Byee!

Hello girls (Where are the boys?),

María Castiblanque's corrections are correct. These are mine:

- the assessment criteria

- attitude...on the blog

- exercises

- You've used "should" instead of "have to" several times. "Should" is more for desire, but in this case you are talking about compulsory things. That's why you have to use "have to" instead: the notebook has to be organized,... the rest of the class has to comment on/ make commentsit

- on the blog

- P and C Lázaro have

-... Metal Age, Ancient Era, Middle Ages, Modern Era

-... has taken a photograph/ picture

You could have added more information about the contents you're going to study this year, the books I gave you...

Correct the mistakes as soon as possible. Bye!

Hello everybody! Congratulations María, your journal is very complete. I am agree with Maribel and María: the new decoration of the class is perfect, I love it!
I think the idea of writing the journal on the blog is really good because we can learn how to express in English.
See you all tomorrow !

Hi girls and Paqui. Thank you for your grammatical corrections, they are very useful to learn English. I'm agree with Ángela: the idea of writing the journal on the blog is very good.

Bye!

María, you have to say I agree/ I don't agree/ I didagree. "I'm agree/ I'm not agree/ I'm disagree" are incorrect.

Good night!

Ángela has also made the same mistake. Be careful too.

Good night again!
