19th December 2012

First today in Social Sciences Paqui has said the marks of the quarter. My mark it's a 6, but Paqui has said that all the people can improve the marks of the term. (Everyone except Salvador, because he has a 10 in the mark).

After this, Paqui has started the lesson. She has explained the Napoleonic Era (1799-1815).

  • In the Consulate:
From 1800 to 1802 Napoleon was appointed Only Consul: public order was restored, administration was reorganized, concordat with the Pope was signed.

From1802 to 1804 Chily Consul for life and this increased popularity due to his military success.

  • In the Empire:
The Napoleon Empire extended to: Low Countries, Luxemburg, , present Slovenia, Belgium, and Croatie. States submitted: Spain, Confederation of the Rhine, part of Italy...

Continental Blockade: after the Hispano-French disaster at Trafalgar Battle, Napoleon ordered had to buy or sell products to G.Britain.

But there were some problems:

-Invasion of Spain to control Portugal's disobedience. Spanish Peninsular War (1808-1813) where the Napoleonic army suffered its first defeat in Bailén and had a lot of problems

- Invasion of Russia in 1812.

End of the Napoleonic Empire: Battle of Leipzg (1814): Battle of the Nations. Napoleon was deposed and confined to the Island of Elba.

Hundred Days Empire: Napoleon came back, another coalition was formed against him and he was definitely defeated at WATERLOO and sent to the island of St Helena.

For holidays, we have to do a summary of the point 2 of the unit and exercises 14, 15, 16 and 17.

Happy Christmas!

Hello! I like your journal. I have found some mistakes:
- Social Sciences
- Paqui has said
- but Paqui has said
- because
- Paqui has started, she has explained.
- Empire in capital letters, I think.
- The Napoleonic Empire was extended to the Low Countries, Luxembourg, present Slovenia, Belgium and Croatie.
- Napoleon ordered not to buy or sell...
- Portugal's disobedience...
I think that your journal is very short and you can improve it.
:)

Hi Fernando,

I think that your journal is a little bit short. You can do it longer. You can add that Paqui has said that we have to complete the sheme with the blog because we haven't had time to do it in class. And you can also add the homework. For holidays, we have to do a summary of the point 2 of the unit and exercises 14, 15, 16 and 17.

Bye bye!

P.S. Roxana and Raquel have a ten too! ahahah

Hello Fernando,

Roxana´s corrections are all right except the one about the Napoleonic Empire: The Napoleonic Empire extended to...

Salva´s additions are also OK.

These are my corrections:

- the marks of the term.
- My mark
- because
- From 1800 to 1802 Napoleon was... a Concordat with the Pope was signed
- FRom 1802 to 1804 Napoleon was appointed Only (not chily) Consul... and this increased his popularity...
- ... Croatia
You have to write complete sentences. You should explain the Continental Blockade in a better way. The same happens with the Hundred Days Empire. You have to write complete sentences, not only the notes or the schemes we do in class.

- Spanish Peninsular War
- ... its first defeat

- Napoleonic Empire

Change the map for another one in English, not in Spanish, and add the sources of both pictures.

You could also add what I said about not correcting your posts or not participating on the blog. That´s all. I hope you correct the mistakes early ;)

See you next year. The world is still here and this hasn´t been the last journal ever ;)
