Thursday 10th

Hi! Last Thursday 10th of March the people who didn't do the project, took the exam of the industrial revolution. I didn't take the exam so I don't know which questions appeared in it but whe the class finished some people commented that it was easy for them. I hope they'll get high marks on this exam.

On my project I talked about a kid called Max in which he experimentated the revolution first in the country with his uncle, aunt and cousins where he leant the improvements which were made and how his lefe changed when he came back with his parents into the city, his work on the factories and the life conditions he had on it.

While they were taking the exam Paqui showed us the presentation of the project on which we have to work in class which completed the information Paqui gave us on Tuesday.

The people who didn't took the exam were making exercises, revising for an exam or reading the presentation which Paqui put in the white board.

Monday 25th May, 2015

Hi classmates!!!

Today in the class of Social Sciences we have had a "relaxing" class.
When we have arrived Paqui was very angry with the students of the previous lesson. So, she has given us our exams of units 5-7 and she has said that we had to calculate our mark and write it on the top of our exams because she hasn't had time to calculate. So, we have calculated our marks with our calculators and written it on the top, without traps (because she will calculate again our marks).

Then, Alfredo has said that we could speak about the elections and tell our opinions, included Paqui of course.
Paqui has accepted the Alfredo's offer. She has said that, in her opinion, Spain need a change. We have also talked about Cáceres because there have been problems with the elections, they have changed the vote of older people of an asylum or a centre like this to another party. For me, this is a shame.
We have talked about another topics and it's clear that there are different opinions in my class. So, there's no accounting for taste, the colours.
While we are speaking Paqui has written on the blackboard new words:

-Apparatus: aparato
-Meeting point: punto de encuentro
-Stingy: tacaño, cutre
-Healthcare: sanidad
-Sanity: cordura
-Insane: insano
-shameful: vergonzoso

And that's all, few minutes before the class ended, group B has gone out to another lesson because they had an Ethics exam.

Today's class has been short and interesting for me, I've learnt a little bit of politics.

See you tomorrow!!

The exam consisted in four questions:

  2. In the second question we had to develope the Causes of Colonialism, the Justification to Imperialism and the Attitudes towards Colonialism. I hadn't enough time to finished this question... (2 points)
  3. In the third exercise we had to choose two of the four concepts that Paqui gave to us. I have chosen Causes and outbreak of World War One (2 points) and Consequences of the War (1.5 points). The others themes were Features of World War One and Conference of Paris and the peace treaties. We had to choose one of the concepts which was worth 2 points and another one which was worth 1.5 points. In total, the exercise was worth 3.5 points.
  4. In the last question, Paqui has given to us 11 sentences to complete. (2.5 points).
For me, this exam was long and I hope to pass it.

PD: I apologize for not writing the journal the day of the exam... Sorry!

12th December 2011

http://www.enriquedans.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/05/examen.jpg

Today in Social Sciences we have done the exam about the French Revolution and the Enlightened Reformism oof Charles III
The exam has 5 exercises; the first one was match some names with the correct definition or what this person did.
The second exercise was about Charles III’s reign and what happened during his rulling period.
The third exercise was about described the beginning of the French Revolution and what happened in the summer of 1789. (Great Fear)
In the fourth exercise you have to describe two of three options. The options were:

-         Tell all you know about Napoleon Bonaparte, how he arrived the power and how his empire finished.
-         Tell all you know about the Jacobins Convention, how they arrived to power and what changes they made.
-         What happened in Spain during the Peninsular War.

I have chosen the first and the second options.

The fifth exercise was about concepts. You have to choose five of I think there were 8 concepts and you have to define them.

I think the exam was not too difficult but it was very long!
We have to give the notebooks to Paqui next Thursday
