BENITO MUSSOLINI: He was the 40th prime minister of Italy in the and he administrated Italy like a Republic.
ADOLF HITLER: He was a a president of Germany but he established the dictatorship in Germany.
MUHAMMAD VI: He is the actual king of Morocco. He has a absolute monarchy.
HUGO CHÁVEZ: He is the president of the Republic of Venezuela.
BASHAR AL- ASSAD: He is the president of Syria.

QUESTION 1:
1.He was the 1st Head of Government of the Kingdom of Italy,the 40th Prime Minister of Italy and the Head of State of the Italian Social Republic. He seized the power by a putsch: the march on Rome.
2.He was the Führer and Chancellor of Germany and the leader of the National Socialist German Workers Party(Nazi). He seized the power by elections, but later he introduced new rules on his benefit, to remain being the head of State.
3.He is the present King of Morocco. He seized the power when his father died, by succession.
4.He is the President of Venezuela.He seized the power by elections.
5.He is the President of Sirya. He seized the power by a referendum because any party was presented.
QUESTION 2:
1.Mary McAleese: She's the Irish President.
2.Julia Eileen Gillard: She's the Prime Minister of Australia and Labor Party leader.
3.Tarja Halonen: She's the President of Finland.

Hello both,

Bea is the winner this week. She has given more complete answers on question 1. There is only one mistake: Bashar al- Assad "inherited" power from his father, Hafez al- Assad, although there was a referendum to confirm this. He was the only candidate. Hosni Mubarak, the former president in Egypt, tried to do the same with his sons and it is said that Muammar Gaddafi would do the same with one of his sons.
