Wednesday, 19th of January

Hello, classmates.

Today in Social Sciences we have checked an exercise of a diagram about the relation between the fish catches and the development of aquaculture. I have checked it but I have had it incomplete. Paqui has given an explanation to us that the capture fisheries don't increase because fish was exhausting, so the aquaculture was an alternative. In the Cantabrian Sea there were a lot of anchovies, but then there weren't because Spain and France fishing them. They had to establish a close season. Now there are very few anchovies.

Everyone has read a part of point 4: The primary sector in Spain. Ana Margarita has been with us and she has asked us some questions about this part. The majority of the questions had the answer in the climate. One of the questions has been: why there are a lot of vines and olive trees in the middle of Spain? The answer has been that because the plateau is placed there and these crops don't need a lot of water and in these zones it doesn't rain a lot.

Paqui has explained to us these things with a map.

At the end of the class Paqui has told us a little explanation and her conclusion about the projects. It has been a very good work. They have been better than the last projects, so Paqui is very happy for the majority of us.
The next day we will check 5 exercises about fishing of page 42.

Bye

Hello Yolanda,

If you review the instructions I gave you at the beginning of this school year, you will know how to upload a picture. If you don´t have the instructions I can send them to you again. It´s very easy:

First, you have to save the picture you want to include on your computer.

Then, you have to upload it and include it where you want. I´m sending you the instructions by mail and you will understand very quickly. Try to do it by yourself and if you can´t , I´ll do it for you (like Brian Adams´ song: "Everything I do, I´ll do it for you";)

Let´s see if your mates correct the mistakes. If not, I´ll do it later.

Hi!Good journal YOlanda!
You have some mistakes.
You have write ´´aquaulture`` and is AQUACULTURE. In the part that you write the answers of Ana: ´´The answer was that because...`` I think that is better to write:
THE ANSWER HAS BEEN THAT THE PLATEAU IS PLACED THERE.
If something is wrong Paqui say to me ok?
Yolanda you can write that we have to do five activities for homework.
See you :)

Hello Yolanda and Rebeca. Rebeca´s corrections are O.K. These are other mistakes you should correct:

- Your exercise about the graph was not bad, but wrong. I would better say that it wasn´t complete. You explained the data reflected on the graph, but you didn´t relate the increase of aquaculture with the stagnation of fish catches.

- This is another mistake: you´ve confused fisheries (the best places for fishing) with fish catches.

- "Agotarse" is "to exhaust" in English and "establecer" is "to establish".

- What´s the mistake here?: "In this zones it doesn´t rain a lot" and "this things".

- It´s better to say "to give an explanation or to explain the conclusions or give an opinion about something".

That´s all. Well done. Try to upload the pictures today. See you tomorrow.

I know the mistake, Paqui.
In stead of writing "this zones and this things" she must write "these zones..." because it's plural! Be careful!
One kiss Yolanda! :)

Hello Laura,

This is a common mistake many people make. As "this" and "these" sound similar, people tend to "spare" letters when they write ;)
