Spain is the second world touristic destination. Many of the tourists that come to Spain choose this country for its mild weather, its beaches and its competitive prices, in comparison with other touristic countries. However, Spain has a wide offer of cultural places and natural landscapes that could attract many visitors. This week´s challenge will consist in discovering some of these interesting places. You will have to identify the pictures, writing their names and where they are located.

The last question has an open answer. If you had to choose a place to visit in Spain, that is not the typical place tourists usually visit, what would you choose? Explain why.
P.S: Don´t forget to check your mails on Monday to know what you will have to study for the exam on Friday the 11th.

I would choose a part of Salamanca, Benidorm because is a very great place to go. Also if you go in winter there is people. The beach is very good and at night there is many disco to dance and enjoy the night.
So Paqui enjoy the Carnival too!
Bye Bye
Silvia, is Benidorm a part of Salamanca?
I think Silvia wanted to say apart from SAlamanca. But, Silvia, remeber that your choice has to be a not very touristic place. It has to be a good place to visit, but not where many tourists go. I think Benidorm is overcrowded.
ok Sorry I recomen to go to Aranjuez because there is a nice museum and there ara mant things to see. Bye Bye
We have a draw this week. You both have given 5 right answers. The last picture was the Roman amphitheater of Itálica, in Seville.
Las Médulas is also a very peculiar place. This is not the original landscape of this area. The Romans changed it completely to extract gold. They used a method called RUINA MONTIUM: they used big amounts of water to "wash" the mountains and extract the gold that was located inside and they created the original landscape we can observe now. Here you have a flash animation, where you can observe the origin of this beautiful landscape:

There are many beautiful places in Spain, such as the national parks or medieval villages , such as Alcañiz, Alcalá del Júcar...
See you tomorrow.
