We have corrected the scheme and Paqui has explained to us that a long time ago in the royal family and with all this kings they were married whith some members of their family and that's why the children had many diseables such as Charles II who was known "The Hexed", she has also explained all that this kings, Philip III, Philip IV and Charles II did.
>Philip III:
-Twelve years truce (1609-1621).
-Expulsion of the Moorish (1609).
- Devaluation of currency.
>Philip IV: He established the same fules over all the peninsular kingdoms.
-Thirty Years' War (1618-1648).
-Project of the Union of Arms:
- Catalonia, supported by France. The peace of the Pyrenees.
- Portugal, the conflict ended with the treaty of Lisbon and the definitive independence of Portugal (1668)
>Charles II: He was known as "The Hexed".
-War of Spanish Succesion (1700-1713).
We have also add many words to the vocabulary such as: "to take advantage of", "Habsburg"...
Paqui has given us homework to do at the weekend. We have to do a summery of the Demography, society and economy.
That's all for today. It was an interesting and funny class.

Hi Maria! You have written a very good and complete journal. I want only to include the last thing taht we have done in clas.. We have seen pictures of Charles II and there appeared a photo of a girl, and Paqui has told us that his name was something like "The monstruosa"That girl was a jester(bufón) and Paqui has told us that the kings had many jesters. Velázquez was one of the painter that paint some jesters.
Hello,
These are my corrections:
- Philip III (1598-1621) and his government and the main facts of his reign; Philip IV and the main events of his rule and the problems; Charles II andwhat happened with him, what disabilities he had.
-...with all these kings they were married to some members of their family and that's why the children had many disabilities such as Charles II, who was known "The Hexed" . She has also explained all that these kings, Philip III, Philip IV and Charles II did.
About what you've wriiten, the kings oif the 17th century didn't do much, because they left the government in the hands of thei validos. What we studied were the main events of every monarch's rule. You sohould explain a little bit the main decisions or problems of every period.
- There is a mistake in Philip IV's rule: He didn't establish the same rules all over the Monarchy. The Count-Duke of Olivares had a project of imposing the same laws to all the terrotories of the MOnarchy, but he couldn't put it into practice, beacuse there were protests in many places and the most serious ones were in Catalonia and Portugal.
You should explain the Thirty Years' War and the project of the Union of Arms better.

You should explain why you have included the picture of Philip III. If you include this picture, you should do it when you speak about him.
As Stefania said, we talked about jesters too. The painting she referred to is La monstrua by Juan Carreño de Miranda.
That's all. Bye!

I've made some typing mistakes in this sentence. I'm self-correcting them:
About what you've written, the kings of the 17th century didn't do much, because they left the government in the hands of theit validos
Bye.
You didn't correct the journal and you've had time enough to do it.
