Today, when we have came into the class, the checked exams were over the tables. Paqui has given until 8:25 to see the exams. The average mark has been good, only two or three classmates haven't passed the exam. Gema was very angry with her mark, because she studied a lot and she has had an argument with Paqui. Paqui has said that we only memorize the information "to puke" it in the exam. She has explained us the answers from the exam. Then she has reviewed the points we saw in the last class, the Norfolk four-field system of crop rotation, mechanization and the selective breeding.
SELECTIVE BREEDING
http://www.le.ac.uk/el/newdishley/animals.html
http://www.bbc.co.uk/history/historic_figures/bakewell_robert.shtmlRobert Bakewell was the first to breed only animals with certain qualities. He elaborated genealogical records of his valuable animals and maintained his stock carefully. He had a great success with sheep.
The photography above shows a sheep created by Bakewell crossing the best species of sheep to obtain a lot of whool.
Then we have studied the:
Development of the 1st Industrial Revolution.
The causes for the development were that the population increased due to the improvements in medicine, hygiene and agriculture. This population demanded all type of products.
Producers started trying to produce more inventing and innovating, with a new way of organizing work: factory system (concentration of workers and ,machines in big factories and division of work), and with new energy sources like hydraulic power and mineral coal.

Hi Miguel,
ReplyDeleteYour journal is good but you can do it longer. You can add:
-Something about the points we saw in the last class.
-The steam engime was invented by James Watt. This machine uses steam to move an engine.
-The homework for next class. We have to do exercise 3 of the unit. It is about the causes and the consequences of the First Industrial Revolution.
See you tomorrow!
The journal it´s good and my note of the exam was a 6. You can do it
ReplyDeletebetter!!!
See you tomorrow!! ;)
Hi Busta,
ReplyDeleteThe journal is good butt it's a little short and you can add the thing Salva has said.
Pd: Fernando, you have a mistake in your comment: "The journal is good" instead "The journal it's good"
See you tomorrow!! ;)
Hello Busta, and hello Gonzalo ,Javi and Salva. Thanks Gonzalo for your correction of my last comment. And Gonzalo, don´t use bad words in the post.
ReplyDeleteSee you tomorrow!!! ;)

Hello Miguel, Salva, Javi and Fernando:
ReplyDeleteThanks Javi for the two correction... And Fernando, don't repeat your comments.
See on Friday!! ;)
Hi, boys,
ReplyDeleteYou could comment on the things Miguel has forgotten, because we talked about more things during the lesson.
You could also write about what your exams were like. Javi, you could comment on your experience of an oral exam in S. Sciences ;)
See you tomorrow.
Hi.
ReplyDeleteI think that I could do it better because my mark was very bad..
See you tomorrow!! :(
Hi people !!
ReplyDeleteMiguel, your journal is good, but I think you can do it better because it's short.
I agree with Salva, you can add the things that he has written. In my opinion, I think the mayority of the class is happy with its marks.
See you tomorrow.
Hello,
ReplyDeleteThese are my corrections about grammar and spelling and some contents:
- When we have come into the classroom
- Gema didn´t have an argiment with me: she complained about her mark and she said that she doesn´t understand many things and I told her that she has to study the vocabulary and make an effort to express in English, because she always speaks in Spanish.
- Then we have studied, not "seen"
- Mineral coal
- máquina de vapor
- Sorry for the delay
You know that you have to write the journal the same day of the lesson, not later.
As Salva told you, you could add more information, because we studied more things about the First Industrial Revolution.
See you.
