As you know, we have a specific classroom for Social Sciences this year. But our room is impersonal and cold right now. It would be a good idea to decorate the walls with some posters including inspirational quotes related to history. Here you have a poll to choose the quotes you like more. Please, vote and explain your choice on the comments´ section.
It's a good idea Paqui!
ReplyDeleteI have choose Albert Einstein's quote because I like Eintein in gerneral, but I think is completly rigth.
How did you do this type of chart to vote?
Tell me please.
Cu on Monday
Have a good weekend.
I choose Thomas Jefferson's quote. Because I like this expression because he are right!
ReplyDeleteOn Monday you are going to explain us abour it?
See you on Monday
The second comment is not annonymous is about me Silvia but I don't know why is not my name wrote...
ReplyDeleteHello Silvia,
ReplyDeleteYou have to log in on the blog, so that your name appears on your comments. Remember the third person of verb "to be": he is /was right. "Are" is plural.
We are going to wait some days until everyone can vote his/her favourite quote and then we´ll chose the most voted ones for our classroom.
See you on Monday.
Enrique,
ReplyDeleteThis is a poll. There are many websites that offer the possibility of creating a poll for your web or blog. I´ve used Acepolls, but there are many others.
Once you´ve created your poll, you have to copy the html code and paste it on the html edition section and that´s it.
See you on Monday.
Silvia, you haven´t voted. You have to click on the quote you prefer, so that your vote can be registered.Have a nice weekend.
ReplyDeleteHi!
ReplyDeleteI've chosen Plato's quote because I think it's true and funny.
See you on Monday!
Hello!
ReplyDeleteI`ve chosenAlbert Einstein`s quote because I think that it`s true and more of the people think the same.
See you on Monday!
Bye
Paqui!!! I like a lot this activity!!! I have chosen: " Wise men speak because they have something to say; Fools because they have to say something." (Plato) and, "The philosophers have only interpreted the world, in various ways. The point, however, is to change it." (Karl Marx). I have written it on a notebook, I think that is very interesting! :D
ReplyDeleteHi Paqui!
ReplyDeleteIt's a good idea that decorate the walls with this interesting hitorical quotes.
I have chosen the Albert Einstein, because with the will you can get everything although it is difficult "aunque sea dificil". I don't know it's right check Paqui please. =)
I like this things. Bye Bye See you on monday.
Hi Paqui!
ReplyDeleteI like your idea. I have chosen "Be the change you wish to see in the world" by Mahatma Gandhi.
I love this phrase because it means that you can't keep stopped when you see injustice. The most important thing is to ACT! And everybody has to act, starting by changing themselves. I like it.
Hello Paqui and students,
ReplyDeleteI don't know if my vote counts but I chose:
"Be the change you wish to see in the world" - Mahatma Gandhi
I like this quote very much because it reminds us that nothing can change in this world unless we decide to work hard and act to change it.
It reminds me of another quote by Gorbachev, "If not me, who? If not now, when?"
I miss you all and hope you are having a good start to the year.
Hello Mari Luz, you´re right: "although it´s difficult" is correct. We´ll look for more quotes. It´s a good way of thinking about the deep meaning of what important people wanted to express. See you tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteI´ve realized that I included Martin Luther´s quote twice. It´s a mistake I can´t change, so the people who choose this quote, be careful and choose the first of them.
ReplyDeleteHello Kelly,
ReplyDeleteOf course your vote counts. Every vote counts! And you know your comments and ideas are always wellcome here. We miss you, but we know you´re close.
I also like Gandhi´s quote, but I like many of them. I think all the quotes are good to think about them, but I have a special weakness for Robespierre an Gandhi´s quotes. Both were violently killed. I hope times are changing and these still revolutionary ideas don´t kill anyone else.
Come to see us when you can. You will be very wellcome.
Paqui! I think you mean "welcome" with one "l"!
ReplyDeleteHello Kelly! We miss you too. My classmates have told me they have seen you today. You could come with us someday to the class!
See you!
Good point, Laura! Even the teachers make mistakes sometimes ;)Thanks for paying so much attention.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite phrase is that of Benjamin Franklin "A small leak can sink a great ship", thank you Paqui for writing things as this one because I like them a lot.
ReplyDeleteHello Manuel,
ReplyDeleteCan you explain why do you like this quote? I think it´s one of the most interesting ones.
Hello, Paqui
ReplyDeleteI´ve vote "Be the change you wish to see in the world" - Mahatma Gandhi
Because he had very wisdom
Hello Beatriz,
ReplyDeleteYou always make the same mistake: you can´t say "he had very wisdom". If you want to say "mucho/-a", you have to say "much/ a lot of" if it refers to something uncountable or "many/ a lot of" if it refers to something countable". "Very" means "muy", not "mucho/-a".
So, what would be the correct way of expressing your opinion? Please, write the correct expression and don´t forget this: if you don´t know if a word is countable or uncountable, use "a lot of". Bye.
Hello everybody!! Yes, Paqui to decorate the classroom is a great idea!! I have choosen this: "Wise men speak because they have something to say; Fools because they have to say something. (Plato)"
ReplyDeleteI agree with him, only people who have something interesting or funny to say should talk. Because it's better to be quiet than say silly things.

Yolanda you are the best example to say that!! jajaja It's a joke!
ReplyDeleteI voted for: "Women, wake up..."
ReplyDeleteThe fight of the woman for her rights has been very long and it continues.
Bye!
I have voted for Gandhi, because I think that taking action to do is more important than complaining. We could only see the great changes we want if we start acting by ourself.
ReplyDeleteI also Robespierre´s quote. Education will make you free. But I don´t like Robespierre because he didn´t accept democracy as it should be.
I really like yours blog
Hello! I like two sentences:
ReplyDelete´´A small leak can sink a great ship``,but I have chosen ´´Be the change you wish to see in the world`` because if we want changes we have to react now,and not wait to the others we are the future so we have to think in the best for us and for the world.
