Comic strips about Spain in the 19th century (Part 1)

This year the students studied Spain's history in the 19th century through the design of a comic strip. They worked in groups of three- four students and they had to explain the main periods and episodes of 19th century Spain with drawings. As usual, the same project was made both by students who study the subject in Spanish and those who study it in English:

This project in Spanish was made by 4th ESO D students Lucía Horta, David Ortiz, Manuel Palomino and Patricia Pérez:

The following comic strip was made by Lorena Alberca, Carlos Bravo, Eva López de la Vieja and Fátima Panadero:

The following project was made by Anca Albu, Andrei Mihaila, María Pérez and Jaime Ucendo

Projects, projects, projects...

Here I'm going to include the projects students from 2nd and 3rd ESO have made this last term.

2nd ESO

In the last term the students of 2nd ESO made board games about the Iberian Peninsula during the Middle Ages. The games had to include a board, the rules to play and at least 100 questions about the political evolution, society, economic activities and culture of Al-Andalus and the Christian kingdoms of the Peninsula during the Middle Ages. The only condition I gave them that the board had to be a map of the Iberian Peninsula and that the game had to start in Guadalete and finish in Granada.

The results were very good and the students had a lot of fun playing their and other games.

The duty of remembering

This is the complete documentary we watched in class at the end of the school year. It's sad that so few people came to class to watch it. The documentary was broadcasted in three parts in a program called Línea 900 on La 2 in 2000. Only two of the survivors who appear in the documentary are still alive, but as long as we can, we have to spread their experience and make people aware of what people can do to their fellow human beings:
