Your scheme is very good and there ...Hello Pablo,

Your scheme is very good and there aren't many mistakes, but I think you could improve the content of your journal, especially the explanation of Social Darwinism:
the base of this theory is that societies and peoples are also submitted to the laws of nature and evolution and there are some societies that are superior to others/best fitted. If some societies are superior, this means that there are inferior societies and the survival of the best fitted and all they do is justified, because it’s a natural law. This also justified the improvement of “races” through the elimination of the least fitted, with eugenics or directly in the gas chambers, as the Nazis did later.

You could also add the link to the post I wrote in 2013, just in case someone wants to read it.

And these are my corrections:

We have started correcting what we had as homework which was looking for information about Social Darwinism. It was a theory based on on Darwinism which said that the most advanced countries were better adapted because they were the best fitted and the less developed countries were not. It was a basis for racism and eugenics.

This has caused a conversation about racism. Paqui has explained that different human ”races” don't exist and that is a social creation. We have seen some cartoons about this and Michael Jackson's "Black or White" music video. Here you can watch it again:
Today has been the last lesson before the exam, so Paqui has explained some doubts we have. She has done a very useful scheme, I recommend you to use it. Here you have it:
Here you have three words from today's glossary:

To seize: ocupar
Civilizing misión(s): misión civilizadora

Bye!Paqui Pérez Fonshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09825244803602259869noreply@blogger.com
